1. Booking the "Nom Commercial"
Before anything else, check if your dream name is available on the RNE website.
Cost: 20 TND.
Tip: Think of a name that works well in both Arabic and French!
2. Drafting the Statutes (Les Statuts)
This is the "Constitution" of your company. It defines the rules between partners, the capital (minimum 1 TND, but 1000 TND is recommended for credibility), and the manager's powers.
Legal Source: Code des Sociétés Commerciales (CSC).
3. Opening the "Capital Blocké" Account
Deposit your capital in a Tunisian bank. They will give you a certificate. In 2026, many "Neo-banks" allow this to be done online.
4. The Tax File (Matricule Fiscal)
Head to the tax office (Recette des Finances) to get your "Patente".
Documents: Registered lease contract (Contrat de location), Statutes, and IDs.
5. RNE Registration & JORT
The final step! Submit your file to the National Registry of Enterprises. Once you get your extract (Extrait RNE), you officially exist!
