How to install the Word add-in
Install E-Tafakna from the Microsoft Office Add-ins store in Word for desktop (Windows and Mac) and Word for the web.
Before you start
Active E-Tafakna subscription
Microsoft Word installed (desktop app recommended, or Word for the web)
An internet connection
Microsoft account signed in to Word
The add-in deployed to the store (your organisation may need admin consent for managed tenants)

Open Microsoft Word
Launch Word on your computer.

Open the Office Add-ins store
In the ribbon, go to Insert → Add-ins → Get Add-ins. On Mac, use Insert → Add-ins → Get Add-ins (labels may vary slightly by Office version).

Search for E-Tafakna
In the store search box, type E-Tafakna and choose the official add-in.

Add
Click Add / Install to add the add-in to Word.

Open the pane
Select E-Tafakna on the Word ribbon or via the loaded add-ins list to open the task pane.
Word for the web (Microsoft 365)

Open Word online
Sign in at office.com or word.office.com and open or create a document.

More add-ins
From the ribbon choose Home → Add-ins, then More add-ins.

Find E-Tafakna
Search for E-Tafakna and select the add-in from the Microsoft store.

Add
Confirm Add — the add-in is available immediately in your Word for the web session.

Open and sign in
Open E-Tafakna from the ribbon. Sign in with your E-Tafakna account when prompted.
First time use
Open a Word document
Open E-Tafakna from the ribbon
Sign in with your subscriber credentials
Use analysis, compliance, chat, and drafting features from the task pane
If something goes wrong
If Add-ins is missing or the store does not load:
Refresh the page (Word for the web) or restart Word (desktop)
Sign out and back in to your Microsoft account
Ensure your administrator has not blocked the Microsoft 365 add-in store
On managed devices, request that E-Tafakna is centrally deployed or approved
